Terms of Service

Last updated · 2026-10-14

These terms apply to the DataMiner website (www.dataspider.ai) and its API. By signing up, signing in, buying credits, or calling the API, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

DataMiner provides APIs for video data, captions, and speech transcription, plus the website playground, console, and documentation. Coverage today is YouTube and TikTok video data and captions, and Douyin video data with speech transcription.

Endpoints, parameters, and response fields are those in the API docs. When a third-party platform changes its rules or interfaces, some features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or return incomplete results.

2. Accounts

You can sign in with an email code, an email password, or a Google account. Completing email-code sign-in with an address that is not registered yet creates an account for that address.

Use an email address you are allowed to use. You are responsible for the information on the account and for everything done with it.

A new account may receive a one-time credit bonus. The amount follows the system setting at that time, and each account receives it at most once.

3. API keys

API calls require an API key on your account. Keep it private. Do not commit it to a public repository or share it.

Calls made with your key, and the credits they consume, are treated as yours. If a key is exposed, disable it in the console and create a new one.

4. Credits and billing

Calls consume credits under the rules published on the Pricing page at the time of the call, per request, per item, or by audio duration. A later price change does not reopen calls that already completed.

A failed call is not charged. Credits are deducted after a successful call. Calls are rejected when the balance is too low.

Credits cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. The current balance does not have its own expiry date.

5. Payment

Credit packs are purchased through Stripe Checkout, in the currencies shown on the page. The amount and the number of credits are fixed when the order is created. Later changes to a pack do not change an order already created.

Credits are added after payment is confirmed. There is no self-serve refund. If you paid and the credits did not arrive, or you believe a charge is wrong, contact us and we will check it.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the service in violation of law or of someone else’s rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or uses a source platform explicitly forbids.

You must not attack, probe, or disrupt the service, bypass quotas or rate limits, resell API access, or use the service to collect data unrelated to the purpose you purchased it for.

Submit only links and files you have the right to submit. You are responsible for what you do with the results.

7. Content you submit

You keep your existing rights in the links you submit and in their content. To perform the parse, caption, or transcription you request, you give us permission to process that content as needed to provide the service, including temporarily downloading audio, sending it to a speech-recognition service, and storing the result.

For the same public post and the same transcription settings, we may reuse a result we already produced, so the work is not repeated. Reuse does not give other users your account information.

8. Third-party content

Video data, captions, cover images, and similar results come from third-party platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Douyin. Those rights stay with their owners. DataMiner does not claim ownership of that content.

You are responsible for using results in line with the source platform’s terms and the rights holder’s requirements.

9. Our rights

The DataMiner website, documentation, API design, and marks belong to us. These terms do not transfer that ownership. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to call the service under these terms.

10. Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that returned data will always be complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose.

If an upstream service fails or is delayed, including a third-party platform, payment, email, object storage, or speech recognition, we will help investigate. We are not liable for indirect loss arising from that failure.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service. If you violate these terms, or if your use may harm the service or other users, we may suspend or disable your account and API keys.

After an account is disabled, unused access stops. Order and ledger records that the law requires us to keep are retained.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Updates are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights or duties, we will also give notice on the site or to your registered email.

Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and contact us about the account.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms, or problems with an account or a charge, can be sent to support@snappdown.com, or through Contact on the site.
